Jane started Pole Dancing in 2008. She became instantly hooked and found pole dancing to be a great form of exercise and her confidence soared. Jane did not come from a dance or fitness background so had to develop her strength and coordination as she went, which pole dancing is great for as you can progress at your own speed. A few years later Jane also started training in aerial hoop (lyra) and aerial yoga. She has performed all over Durham and the North East in a range of venues and incorporating many different dance styles, including pole dancing, aerial hoop and belly dancing.
Jane wanted to spread her love of pole dancing and aerial hoop so qualified as an instructor in 2010. She loves watching her students achieve goals and moves which they once thought were impossible. Jane is experienced in both the dance and fitness elements of pole dancing as well as pole doubles and was one of the first aerial hoop instructors to be qualified to an advanced level.
Jane understands that having low body confidence or fitness levels can make a dance class seem scary, as she experienced these concerns when she started training pole dancing / pole fitness and aerial hoop. As a result however, she always runs her classes to meet her student’s needs and abilities and aims to put them at ease from the very moment they arrive at class.
